Accessibility Statement
(in compliance with Article 3-bis of Law no. 4, dated 9 January 2004)
COSWELL SPA VAT No.:00708541206 is committed to making its product accessible in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 106 dated 10 August 2018. This accessibility statement applies to the website: https://www.biorepair.it/en
Compliance status
This website does Not comply with the requirements set out in Appendix A of the technical standard UNI EN 301549:2018 (which corresponds to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1), due to the non-compliance cases listed below.
Inaccessible content
- Non-compliance details
- The website provides no documentation about its ICT accessibility and compatibility features, which makes it difficult for users to understand how to use and activate them. It also does not fully satisfy all the WCAG 2.1, level AA requirements, which undermines the usability of certain pages or functionalities. At a user interface level, it does not always observe users’ color, contrast, font and focus preferences, which makes interaction more difficult, especially for people with specific needs.
- The website’s preregistered audio and video content has no accessible alternatives, like transcripts for the audio or audio descriptions of videos, which compromises information access for users with visual or hearing impairments. Videos with synchronized audio content also have no accessible captions or suitable controls for activating and customizing them. There is no synchronization between the audio content and captions and no options for changing their appearance or activating audio descriptions.
- There are images on various pages with no text alternative. On some pages there are images containing text with no text alternative. This includes text that is visible inside the images, which means that assistive technologies cannot read the content.
- On most pages, the structure of and relationships between the elements inside the code are not always defined programmatically or through a text alternative. This makes it difficult for assistive technologies to recognise which element to refer to and not all the content of the elements is included in the code. Several interactive elements fail to communicate their name, role, or value correctly, which makes understanding and interaction difficult for people using screen readers or other support tools. In some parts of the website, the code also has syntactical errors or invalid markings that may prevent assistive technologies from correctly interpreting webpage contents and functionalities.
- In some pages, keyboard navigation is not fully supported. Some elements cannot be accessed without a mouse pointer, and the keyboard focus indicator is not always visible. There is also no mechanism for skipping repetitive blocks of content or slowing down navigation, and there is no method for properly managing additional content displayed with a mouse pointer hover or keyboard focus indicator, which in some cases disappears before it can be reached.
- On certain pages, the layout’s text resizing and small-screen adaptation is managed ineffectively, which adversely affects readability and functionality. The user interface does not always observe users’ color, contrast, font and focus preferences, which makes interaction more difficult. Lastly, the website does not fully satisfy all the WCAG 2.1, level AA requirements, which undermines the accessibility of certain pages or functionalities for people with disabilities.
- In some cases, the input fields are not described in enough detail to allow assistive technologies to identify their purpose, name, role and value.
- Color is the only identifier used to transmit information; for example, on most pages, links are marked as such, only by the color of the font. In all the pages, the contrast ratio between text color and background color is not at least 4.5:1. The contrast ratio of the graphic elements is not at least 3.1:1 in relation to the color or adjacent colors.
- The homepage includes an automatic animation that cannot be interrupted or hidden. This can create difficulties for people who need more time to read the information or are sensitive to moving contents.
- Some pages in the website do not have titles that describe or are consistent with their content, and do not offer at least two ways of identifying them, like a sitemap, table of contents, or search function. This makes it difficult for users, especially those using assistive technologies, to understand the page topic and find information quickly.
- There are links on nearly all the web pages that do not provide clear information about their purpose. This makes it difficult for users to understand where they lead if they have not read the surrounding context. Some links are also not properly labeled (by name and/or role) in the code, which prevents assistive technologies from interpreting them correctly. This can create difficulties for blind people or those using screen readers.
- On certain pages, some interactive components have a different name (name attribute) to the visually presented text (text labels or text images). This can create difficulties for people using assistive technologies or voice input tools, making interaction with the site less intuitive.
- There are no breadcrumbs on any of the pages, which may create difficulties for users, especially those using assistive technologies or relying on predictable navigation patterns. This can impact the website’s ease of navigation and user friendliness.
COSWELL SPA VAT No.:00708541206 is currently implementing the updates needed to ensure full compliance with accessibility requirements.
